In an effort to continually provide current information and education about substance abuse prevention, intervention, treatment and aftercare issues, the Jefferson County Community Network, the Substance Abuse Advisory Board and Meth Action Team have joined forces to bring the Did You Know... Campaign to the residents of Jefferson County, WA.

The Jefferson County Community Network

The JCCN is a prevention advocacy organization collaborating in the community to prevent youth substance abuse and child abuse/neglect.

Community Task Force at Port Townsend High School

The Adult Task Force is a committee of school faculty, parents and community members concerned about the drug and alcohol use by teenage youth. The committee gathers on a monthly basis to discuss and share ideas for reducing substance abuse in the teen population, to provide informative lectures and programs for parents and to encourage parent networking and communication as a way to promote a healthier high school community.

Jefferson County Substance Abuse Advisory Board

Under the direction of the Board of Health, the Substance Abuse Advisory Board aims to protect public health within the community by increasing awareness of the impacts of substance abuse and chemical dependency on all citizens in Jefferson County. The board develops and implements cost effective strategies that prevent, intervene, treat and provide aftercare to reduce the significant impacts on our community. This is accomplished by networking within the community and presenting timely and pertinent information.

Jefferson County Meth Action Team

Convened by the Community Network and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the Meth Action Team focuses on the issues of methamphetamine that Jefferson County faces.  The group emphasizes prevention, community education, the importance of Drug-Endangered Children's Guidelines and community collaboration to address methamphetamine issues.
